
Master Keith Elkins
Master Elkins has been a professional modern martial arts educator for 38 years. Master Elkins was a former Head Instructor for the Jhoon Rhee Institue. Master Elkins has trained in many different martial arts systems and is the founding master of Keith Elkins Karate and modern martial arts system. He also holds Instructor certifications in, Taekwondo, Hapkido, Kickboxing, Kali. Master Elkins has been a national and regional competitor and coach in fighting, weapons, and forms.
Master Elkins is the Founder of the Be a Hero Project youth mentoring non-profit. Currently facilitating mentoring groups in eight Charles County, Md. public schools. He is also an author of the Book The Pony Principles (Lessons in Optimism because of Adversity) and is a sought out public speaker.
Master Elkins was inducted into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 1997 as Master Instructor of the Year. He also received the Man of the Year award from the Karate Helps Kick Diabetes Foundation for his fundraising efforts in the fight against diabetes. Master Elkins is also a former national team member of the Force One National Martial Arts Team.
Master Elkins believes that the aim of martial arts is personal development. Anyone can develop a champion athlete but can you develop a champion citizen?
